About Us
The Tony Barlow story began in 1969 when brothers Derek and Tony, and a group of friends left Perth for a working holiday to London and Europe.
Tony and Derek began working for a high-end menswear group, Cecil Gee, in London's Kings Road Chelsea.
In 1971 Tony wanted to return to Perth but Derek decided he wanted to stay on and went to Rome and worked for 2 years modelling and traveling the world with fashion icon Brioni, and still is.
Tony opened the first store in Sherwood Court in the Perth CBD. Tony Barlow Menswear expanded quickly and Derek returned from Rome and joined his brother in 1973.
Derek went to Sydney in 1975 and opened the first Eastern states store in the new MLC Centre in Martin Place. Over the years they have dressed many celebrities like Paul Keating, Tony Barber, John Burgess, the Eagles Football Club, Brisbane Bullets and the Australian Cricket team to name a few. They also had their own 'TONY BARLOW SHOWJUMPING TEAM' which was lead by John Fahey, an Australian Olympic Gold medal winner.
Derek Barlow bought the Queensland naming rights in 1989.
The Tony Barlow story continues today. They have had a long a vibrant history and are looking forward to getting better in the future. So if you want to look your best, let the team with over 50 years' experience look after you for all your menswear requirements.
