A History of Tony Barlow Brisbane

We are a menswear brand started by two brothers who have a passion for the industry and strive for perfection in all they do. Our decades of experience in the field of men’s formal attire is abundantly clear when you walk into one of our stores and see our beautiful ranges of clothing.

• In the year 1969 two brothers, Tony and Derek went on a working holiday to London and Europe, they began working at a high-end menswear shop in London. In 1971 Tony returned to Perth while Derek embarked on a modelling career. Tony opened the first Tony Barlow menswear shop, and in 1973 Derek returned from Rome to join him.
• In 1975, Derek ventured to Sydney and opened up a new store in the MLC Centre in Martin Place. All in all, we have nearly 50 years of experience in the field of formal menswear. We have a wide variety of items in our stores which has grown over the years. In 1989 we started the expansion of our business into Queensland.
• Tony currently stays in Perth looking after the store located there, and Derek and his daughter are presently based in Brisbane running the store located there and the online store. The online store is a huge success, and in the next few weeks, we’ll add chinos, some casualwear, and ranges such as Cutler & Co and New England to our offerings.
